About This Notification
Punjab & Sind Bank, a Government of India Undertaking, has released a latest government jobs notification for Lateral Recruitment of 1000 Local Bank Officers (LBOs) in JMGS I grade across 17 states and union territories. This is a prime opportunity for experienced banking professionals to apply online for officer-level government bank jobs with a pay scale of Rs.48480-2000/7-62480-2340/2-67160-2680/7-85920. Eligibility requires a Graduation degree in any discipline from a recognized university along with a minimum of 18 months of branch experience as an officer in any Scheduled Commercial Bank or Regional Rural Bank. The upper age limit is 30 years (as on 01.03.2026) with standard relaxations for SC/ST (5 years), OBC (3 years), PwBD (10 years), 1984 riot-affected persons (5 years), and Ex-Servicemen. LBOs will join at initial pay scale of JMGS-I plus 3 increments. In addition to basic pay, DA, HRA/Leased Accommodation, CCA, medical benefits, LTC and other perquisites are applicable as per bank rules. Candidates must have a minimum CIBIL score of 650 at the time of joining. A mandatory proficiency test in the local language of the applied state will be conducted. Selected officers are required to execute a service bond of 3 months gross salary with a minimum service period of 3 years. Online applications open from 31.03.2026 to 20.04.2026. Candidates can apply for only one state. Present employees of Punjab and Sind Bank are not eligible.
