Most posts require a pass in S.S.L.C. / Minimum General Educational Qualification; Junior Assistant (Post Codes 3521, 3816, 3321), Junior Assistant (Post Code 3788) and Sales Assistant require a degree; Junior Assistant (Post Code 3520) and Junior Assistant (Accounts) require a B. Com. degree; Senior Laboratory Assistant and Forest Guard with Driving Licence require Higher Secondary with specified subjects. Typist and Steno Typist posts also require Typewriting / Shorthand and Computer on Office Automation qualifications as specified for each post.
Age is counted as on 01.07.2026. For most posts the minimum age is 18 and the maximum age for Others is 30, with higher limits for reserved categories and age concessions. Village Administrative Officer, Forest Watcher and Forest Guard with Driving Licence have a minimum age of 21, and Executive Officer (Grade IV) has a minimum age of 25. Post-wise details are given in the notification.
The examination fee is rs 100/- and One Time Registration costs rs 150/- (valid for five years). Persons with Benchmark Disability, Destitute Widows, SCs, SC(A)s and STs have full fee exemption; Ex-Servicemen get two free chances; Backward Classes get three free chances.
Single stage Written Examination (Tamil Eligibility-cum-Scoring Test 100 questions / 150 marks, General Studies 75 questions and Aptitude and Mental Ability 25 questions, total 300 marks), followed by onscreen certificate verification, physical certificate verification and counselling. Forest Guard with Driving Licence and Forest Watcher posts also include a Physical Standards Test and Endurance Test.
The last date and time for submission of the online application is 05.11.2026 11.59 PM. Apply online at www.tnpscexams.in after completing One Time Registration. The application correction window is from 09.11.2026 to 11.11.2026.
